Mercy Day Carnival

The inaugural St Aloysius College Mercy Day Carnival was held in 1997. Celebrated annually on the final day of Term 3, this whole-school event honours the Feast Day of Our Lady of Mercy. It is a festive occasion, with each class organising a variety of activities and stalls that bring the school community together while raising funds to support those in need.

Since its inception, the Mercy Day Carnival has grown significantly in both scale and impact. The first carnival raised $2,000 for local Mercy organisations, including the Adelaide Day Centre and Catherine House. In recent years, the event has raised in excess of $12,000.

The Mercy Day Carnival embodies the spirit of mercy that lies at the heart of St Aloysius College. It highlights the generosity of the school community and showcases the creativity, initiative and commitment of students as they develop innovative ways to raise both funds and awareness for Mercy Works and other Mercy-supported organisations.
