The founder of the Sisters of Mercy in 1831, dedicating her life to sheltering, educating and supporting vulnerable communities.

Our Beginnings

With their roots in Ireland and Argentina, the Sisters purchased a property for their Adelaide Convent in 1880. St Aloysius College grew from rooms in the Cathedral Hall to its current site around the Convent.
