The swimming pool, located behind the Dunlevie Building, was completed in 1988.
The mosaic on the pool wall was created in 2000 by volunteer students from Years 8 to 11, under the guidance of artist-in-residence Bridgette Minuzzo and coordinated by SAC Art teacher Chris Phillips.
The project was supported through sponsorship from the Carclew Artists in Schools Programme and donations from Beaumont Tiles and Hartley Glass. Their contributions helped bring to life the mosaic’s swimming and water-themed design.
The mosaic was unfortunately irreparably damaged during the Dunlevie Building redevelopment. A large piece has been kept in the SAC Archives.
