The Fish Pond

As part of the landscaping of the new Campion Jordan Building, the Fishpond was installed in 1967 on the lawned area behind the buidling.

It is fondly remembered by students as a place to relax with friends, reflect or serve as a backdrop for group photos. Over the years, however, many students ventured a little too close and ended up swimming with the goldfish. As a result, the pond was fenced in 1999.

In 2009, the Chancery Lane Montessori Centre was constructed on the site and the fishpond was filled in. The goldfish, however, lived on, as they were given a new home with Sr Margaret Adams.
