In 2024, a temporary learning space known as ‘The Village’ was established in the Redden Centre Undercroft to accommodate classes during the refurbishment of the Redden Centre classrooms and the construction of the new Dunlevie Building.
To create a more welcoming environment during this period of transition, students and staff collaborated on a vibrant mural that transformed The Village wall into a colourful and engaging entrance. Unveiled on Harmony Day, the artwork celebrated the values of hospitality, diversity and inclusion that are central to the St Aloysius College community.
When the new Dunlevie Building opened for Primary students, The Village was dismantled and the mural was removed as part of the transition to the new learning spaces.
